Rim Youth Prevention Leadership Coalition Members and Friends!

It’s almost time for this month’s meeting and this is your reminder! We will be meeting on Tuesday, August 14 at 10am at Lake Gregory Community Church in the lodge (same location as last month). The address is 460 Pine Drive in Crestline.

We are looking forward to seeing you and moving forward with discussion of our name change, as well as discussing some important  issues that have come up on the mountain recently to decide what we can do to help.

Just a sneak peek into next month’s meeting: We will be having a very special guest speaker, Wayne Bowser, on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10am (same location). He is the father of Tory, who was kidnapped and murdered. He is on a mission to make the world a safer place for kids. He is from our community and has joined our coalition and will be speaking to us at the September meeting. Please mark the date and begin inviting friends. I was with him this morning at the County Board of Supervisors meeting where they adopted a resolution to make August 20 Tory’s Day in our County. It was a huge victory for children in our County and we look forward to standing with him and his organization on this most important issue of protecting our children!

Hope to see you on Tuesday!! Bring a friend and come a little early for a light brunch!
